What does the term a typical colonic irrigation describe? Is it a new kind of treatment?
Colonic irrigation or cleansing is a sound way to prolong your life. Colonic procedure is a popular colon treatment nowadays. Although the term itself may seem quite new, it is not a new idea: colon hydrotherapy instruments were used in the 1920s in the USA. What does the procedure involve?
A small disposable speculum is gently inserted into the rectum, then warm filtered water passes through it into the colon. Modern equipment provides multistage water purification systems which make the procedure relaxing and effective. All systems are closed ones. They allow waste to be discretely transported into the drain without offensive odour which could comprise the dignity of a person. After each therapy session, the unit is thoroughly cleansed and disinfected for future use. During the therapy, water temperature and pressure are controlled by the colon therapist and can be varied to stimulate peristalsis in the colon. This is very important to help the sluggish or weak colon. Usually the therapist uses up to 40-60 liters of water, gently infusing water into the colon via rectum.
A colon hydrotherapy session lasts for about 45 minutes. To achieve the maximum cleansing benefit a series of at least three separate therapy sessions may be recommended. This will help to eliminate feces which may have been lodged in the colon for weeks, months, or even years and to keep the individual properly hydrated.
Is it true that colonic irrigations wash out colonic flora?
The correct procedures do not wash out colon flora. Anyway colon flora is "self-restoring, and elimination of toxins just encourages the process.
Is it possible to get down to work just after the colonic procedure?
The colonic procedure is equivalent to common bowel movements that is why it is not the reason to stop working as usual.
